This is a late entry for the just passed Chinese New Year, February 2026. This year the celebration was great and we invited some friends over for lunch and, reunion. This year I baked and make my own Pineapple Tarts including the Pineapple Paste. Which is good as I can adjust the sweetness and texture accordingly. Usually every year I make like roll over but this year I went back to making an open pastry Pineapple Tarts, which is nice and beautiful to look at.

Unwind with friends, Josie
During one of the long Public holidays in Malaysia, my sister Josie went on a trip to unwind with friends. Obviously, she's enjoying herself. This place that they gathered and visited was in Sabah somewhere overlooking the Crocker Range, at least it's visible if you look around when you're there. Elevation range up to 2.050 meters above sea level. Every time when I travelled home, it never ceased to amazed me. These mountains are awesome.

My Childhood Snacks
I remember when we were younger, we only had a small variety of snacks that we used to buy and enjoyed it very much. I recalled with nostalgia certain biscuits that we will see when we go to the canteen and shops. These biscuits will take you down memory lane as I found a place in KLCC selling just that, it's on the 4th Floor and the Kiosk is call 'Childhood Snacks'. It's kind of like the good old days are back again, but, for a fleeting seconds.

The Exchange TRX
I spent some time exploring the Exchange TRX one morning after I had finished my breakfast at one of the cafes there. It was an afterthought that I opted to go ahead and do some exploring since it's still early and the weather isn't too warm yet. I set out to explore the Roof Top City Park and it's interesting as I slowly walk through and admire all the different species of plants and playground for kids and teenagers. I strolled, paused and at the same time admired the area. It's a quick trip, and since it's getting warmer I decided to retreat back to the mall and be on my way.
Here are some of the pictures from the exploration.

Matcha Latte, Cafe Kitsune
My favourite place for Matcha Latte is at Cafe Kitsune, Pavilion. After a tired walk from shopping and browsing through the shops in Pavilion, the ultimate place to re- energise is to go to this nice Cafe. Jonathan always enjoyed his Iced Matcha Latte without sugar, same as me. It's lovely and flavourful.

Country Park, Glasgow
These pictures of colourful kales and giant cabbages was taken in a garden in Glasgow Country Park. This park is a must visit every time we were there. I like the walk through the woodland and gardens and you can see a lot of beautiful plants and trees. It has a garden with maze too. It's a nice and beautiful place to be. You can even spot some Highland cows there.

Breakfast Favourite
These days I like to eat a full breakfast, some morning I took the MRT to go to TRX ( Tun Razak Exchange) to the Oriental Kopi restaurant there. Any other outlet will be packed, but the one at TRX at least I can get a table. Breakfast menu is quite good and affordable too. I like the tea with milk, no sugar for me. After breakfast, I walked to Seibu the Japanese Supermarket to look around and then I will take the MRT back to Bukit Bintang. This is my favorite time for brisk walking too.

Nostalgic Garden, Keningau, Sabah.
It has been less than a year I visited my family home in Keningau and now I am back here again to attend to some urgent family matters. The garden in March was full of trees bearing fruit and I particularly enjoyed the sight of a few avocado trees which bear beautiful fruits. These was planted by my late father, he enjoyed the land so much that he uses to plant fruit trees and plants in the garden, which are still there to this day. Looking at it, it brings back nostalgic happy memories which I really appreciate. Below are some pictures of the garden.

Birthday Celebrations July 2024
To celebrate three of our birthdays in the same month we have decided to go to Jogoya Restaurant, Starhill in Bukit Bintang, KL. This place is a food haven, their selection is extensive and inexhaustible so it seems, because of the rapid refilling once any of the dishes were finished. It was crowded as it was very popular. We went as early as 6.30pm on a Saturday, upon entering I saw the place was almost full.
Impressive selection

Taking a drive to KLCC
My sister Josie has reminded me of this blog recently. I almost forgot how to sign in to it, as it has been a few months since I last wrote. She said she likes to read what I wrote and it helps her stay relaxed. I had been busy doing some work and during my free time I like to watch TV dramas, that's the reason why I had been putting off updating this blog.
This morning I took a drive to KLCC The Petronas Twin Tower, it's a short drive from my place. Most of the morning I will go there for breakfast and I will also do my Supermarket shopping there. It has two nice Supermarket. Isetan The Japanese Supermarket and The Cold Storage. I prefer Isetan which is spacious and clean.

Christmas is in the air
This is my favorite the time of the year leading to December where the Christmas season is just around the corner. I tend to get super excited taking the decorations and Christmas tree out and slowly putting the decorations up.
The malls has also started to put out their items so people can start their Christmas shopping earlier. Definitely it holds a special place to those who celebrate this joyous season. Below are some of the Christmas decorations i saw while going around the malls recently, really awesome.

It has been a difficult time since the Covid - 19 situation Pandemic in Malaysia but now we have entered the endemic phase of Covid - 19 on April 1st 2022, with all the restrictions on business hours relaxed more people are going out. People still need to wear face mask in public places. I am still careful about where I go and strictly still wear my face mask.
My favourite mall the Petronas Twin Tower or KLCC is full of activities and people visiting it. I always go there for my breakfast and there is one Salad bar stalls that I frequented because of the healthy food and lot of fruits that you can get. I also like that it got varieties of salad combination you can get. Apart from that it also sells local kuih which are all delicious and they also got fruits rojak.

KLCC Christmas Tree Dec. 2021.
Christmas 2021 comes and go and now we are staring into 2022. The whole of last year was unpredictable what with the Covid - 19 still raging and now we have the African variant Omicron. We have to make the best of everyday and really hope all this will eventually become oblivion. Anyway, Christmas 2021 is a quiet one and all in my family still enjoy the atmosphere especially in the KLCC Mall, this big beautifully decorated Christmas tree is nice to view.

KLCC during M.C.O.3.0
Since the Covid - 19 Virus is still creating havoc in people's lives, we are advised to STAY SAFE and STAY at HOME. Times that I went out to buy Supplies this is how the KLCC food court looks like. It's voided of people and only a handful of customers come to takeaway food. Wonder how long this uncertainty will last.

My Balcony Garden 2021
I have been busy with my balcony gardening ever since the Movement Control Order evolved. It has been a great therapeutic thing to do during this unprecedented time. We are still fighting this invisible enemy the Covid - 19. I really hope it is going to be over soon so that everything will be alright again. Anyway, my plants are doing well, and that's something to be happy when I look at it every morning and everyday.
