Hanoi Souvenir
A souvenir from Vietnam , it was a small and attractive item. The other one I have got was a beaded cloth bag I used to contain my gyms stuffs. Nevertheless it is a reminder of a land far away.

June's Scrapbook
I had this
scrap book a few years ago but I never seem to fill the pages or to have it
completed. I have started the first few pages and got stalled. I came across
this beautiful scrapbook in a Japanese bookshop and decided to purchase it. I
like the vintage look of its cover and it is made of good material. Well what
is this scrap booking? To me I include all my heartfelt memorabilia in it.
Special and cherished memories to be pasted on and had it lingers for as long as
it will last. It is a constructive past time which everyone will enjoy doing. I
also used various types of embellishment like decorative paper, ribbons and
dried leaves.

Baby Greeting Card
I collect
all types of cards that were sent to me as a keepsake and I know that perhaps
one day I will have some use of it. Likewise Jonathan’s baby card, that was 16 years ago when he was born, but I still cherished the baby greeting
cards that my friends sent to me. As I look back I am glad that I still have
it. Now I can recall how rewarding those experiences were when Jonathan was
born and I cherished every minute of it. Now in a blink of an eye he is a grown
up, but looking at these cards I will always cherish it with fond memories.

Scrapbooking
My son Jonathan
started his first scrapbook when he was 5 years old and his second scrapbook
when he was 7 years old. As I turn the pages of his scrapbook I cannot help but
smile at all the memorabilia that he has pasted into the scrapbook. Pictures
that speak a thousand words, pieces of his baby’s blanket that I found inside
an envelope, notes from his mom and dad, a token for him and the
embellishments that was pasted onto each page. Wow, that was a lot of memories
to remember from.

Crocuses ,Queen's Park, Glasgow
This photograph
reminds me of early spring in Scotland; I remembered one nurse told me that if
you see crocuses coming out of the ground it is a sign that spring has come.
Sure enough as I look out of the nurse’s home window I saw crocuses and hyacinth
plant sprouting in the ground with beautiful flowers. Crocuses are also known
as snow crocuses as it blooms early in spring. It has many colours and most of all
its flowers are beautiful. It is one of my favourite plants.

Torch Ginger(Etlingera Elatior) Plant
I came
across this flower in the garden. It is actually Torch Ginger’s flower, the scientific
name being Etlingera Elatior. The flower is bright and huge. It has antioxidant
properties as well. I am attracted to it because of its ornamental flower and
the plant can grow quite tall and shady in the garden. The flower bud can be
eaten and it is an important ingredient in some Asian cooking. This is a tropical plant as it bashes in the sunshine and water to grow beautifully with its flower.

Bunny Doll
I like craft of various type. I make these cuddly stuffed bunny doll a few years back and it still thrilled me to look at it . I was happy to know that I was able to do it if I put my heart into it but you know to a kid or even adult this can become an object they seek comfort in. Well, this comforting doll is simply adorable. I even sewed the Bunny dress myself using American cotton fabric and lace. There are a lot of patterns in the internet or if you preferred a book like me then you can buy something for beginners . I have got this book from Family Circle 'Treasury Of Dolls & Cuddly Toys'.

Chinese Hat
Interesting hand crafts found in China along alleyways and byways. Chinese hats, bamboo and straw hat. It makes an interesting and awesome sight. The big bamboo or straw hat can shield you from the sun, it is light and above all environmentally friendly. We have got a friend in London who requested this type of Chinese hat when we visited her a few years back. It is popular to see workers donning it when doing their field task. You can also get straw slippers and a basket. All make for an interesting and Eco friendly option to have.

Plant Looks Like Hair
When I go back to my family home I am always looking out for flower and plant. One plant that intrigued me was this hair like hanging plant. I do not know what the name of the plant is but I do know that it gives me the creeps when I suddenly look up and there it is hanging down as if it's someone's hair or worse still someone hanging from the tree! But when people get used to seeing it, it can be some exotic plant where it's not easily found anywhere. To me it will always be some alien plant and hoping that it will not be an invasive hair look alike plant which is not alluring. I think it will look much better if it were grown in a basket or pot and as a hanging plant in the veranda. It will drape over the side of the basket beautifully, I am sure.

Christmas Edition, Stamp Collecting
One of my hobbies is to collect stamps but I only collect Christmas stamp from England and The U.S.A. This is because I like the Christmas stamp as they were beautiful. I do collect other editions at times. I had been collecting stamps since I was a teenager. It is always a pleasure to see one's collection grow and thus motivates us to continue the hobby. It is also a hobby suitable for all age groups and it can be quite educational as it tells the history and connection of that country. The condition of the stamp is utmost important as damage stamp is practically worthless. If you want to start stamp collecting as a hobby you must ask yourself these questions : what to collect, where to get the stamp? And how to store the stamp, simply but granted it will give you endless pleasure of joy when your collection grew.

For The Love Of Coffee
Mad about Coffee and Cafe. Have you ever thought of that? like you cannot get through the day without drinking a hot cuppa coffee. I occasionally treat myself to a cup of gourmet coffee, nowadays there are so many types of coffee, and you would be spoilt for choice. There are the espressos as cappuccino, machiatto or latte. Espresso has higher caffein contents then brewed coffee. I like mine with the right mix of the accompaniment e.g. milk and sugar. I do not like it to be too sweet and creamy, just mildly. I do not fancy latte type of coffee. I like something like Americano, dark and maybe some other mysterious blend. I can only go off coffee the most , a week, then I would start fidgeting and knows that a cup is due. Just the other day I ordered a cup of coffee mocha. it is coffee with unsweetened cocoa. I like it so much that now I ordered it frequently.
