Christmas In Hong Kong 2013

Christmas in Hong Kong is a must if only to go and watch the extravagant Christmas decorations that adorned every corner of the city. It gets you in the mood for Christmas shopping and then makes one feels that the holiday seasons has started. The most lively and jolly place to be was at The Harbour City Shopping Mall Main Entrance where you can see some of your favourite Disney’s characters like snow white and Mickey mouse. The place is always full of tourists and people mingling around taking pictures and admiring the decorations. It has to be an experience you will remember for a long time to come.

Hong Kong Revisited December 2013

Recently we went for a week holiday to Hong Kong. It was supposed to be a relax and free and easy kind of holiday trip but it was not the case. It was hectic when we got there, not so much of our doing things but more to what transpired when we were there. The city was crowded with people walking and shopping. In Hong Kong you need to keep on walking to be in alignment, once you slow down you will be a hassle for all pedestrians. The same thing with looking for a place to eat, everywhere you look, and you will see people queuing outside the tiny eateries and you will have to be fast with your orders. Having said that, I did enjoy my stay there because of some of the great shopping I have come across. Some cosmetic products were really a steal after the discount and I love the embroidery stuffs that I bought at the Stanley Market. Hong Kong is cheap when you know where to go and shop, otherwise you will end up paying more than you bargained for. We have been to Hong Kong so many times but this time around, I find Hong Kong more expensive in term of food and of course accommodation. Land is very scarce and expensive in Hong Kong, their properties cost millions of dollars. With all these experiences it does make you appreciative of what we have back home in our own country. Despite of all these, Hong Kong is still a nice place to go for a holiday, the night view from the harbour is majestic and magical with all the lights.

Colourful Annuals

I have decided to post some pictures of the various flowering plants from my family gardens which were in bloom at this time of the year. I can’t help but feel elated when I stumbled upon all these beautiful plants upon returning home. These gardens almost always fascinate me no matter what the seasons are. This time there were a few white flowering plants which I thought stood out and it gives contrast to the other colours like the blue and pink flower.
Here are some of the amazing pictures taken by Jonathan recently in grandma’s garden.

Morning Glory Plant

I had just got back from my holiday visit to my family home. This season my mom proudly showed me her big stock morning glory plant. She has got a beautiful blue and purple flower morning glory and a shocking pink morning glory in her garden. This is the first time I had ever seen a pink flower morning glory plant. It’s gorgeous and I instantly get attracted to it. The Plant twined onto the big coniferous tree in the garden.

In The Mood For Christmas

Christmas mood is all around us, well at least to me. Jonathan and I have been gallivanting the town as usual at this time of the year to snap some photographs of the beautifully, some even magically decorated places to look like fairyland to add to our collections of the holiday season pictures. I like those mood instilling scenes and here I would like to share some of those photographs that we have taken. I like the berries Christmas wreath and the Christmas Cottage, it looks wintry with the snow capped Christmas trees.
